Close to the center of Tokyo is the Ginza district, home to some of the most expensive real estate in all of Japan. Ginza used to be the site of a silver mint and today it’s full of upscale stores, restaurants, clubs, and other establishments that cater to Tokyo’s wealthier residents. On weekend afternoons the Chuo Dori street that runs through the heart of Ginza is closed to traffic and becomes a pedestrian zone. Even though shopping at expensive stores isn’t my thing (and outside what my wallet can afford) I stopped by Ginza to stroll with the rest of the crowds down Chuo Dori and I got some photos along the way.
