Sapporo 2017: Odori Park (大通公園)

When I first arrived in Sapporo an intense rainstorm was passing through town but thankfully the next morning the clouds had cleared and I started my sightseeing at Odori Park in the city center. The park runs from a former courthouse at one end to the Sapporo TV Tower at the other end and is about a kilometer long. When I was in Sapporo the annual Autumn Festival was going on and much of Odori Park was full of booths selling foods from across Hokkaido. After looking around for a while I got some chicken meatballs on a stick. I also got a cup of Sapporo Beer. Even though I don’t particularly like the taste of beer it felt mandatory to have a Sapporo Beer while in Sapporo.
