Daisetsuzan 2019: Coming down the ropeway

With my time wandering around Daisetsuzan now over, I hiked to the ropeway station to ride the gondola back down to the lower station. For the first few minutes I couldn’t see too much but a bit over halfway down the gondola dropped below the clouds and then the wider scenery came into view. It had been a long day in the area around Mt Asahidake and if the weather had been better I would have stayed up there another hour or so but I was coming down from the mountain feeling satisfied with the overall experience. Soon the gondola arrived at the lower station and I then walked down the road back to the hostel I was staying at. The next day I’d be continuing the drive north through Hokkaido.
