Right by Woljeong Bridge is Gyeongju’s own little hankok village. The Gyochon Traditional Village is home to a few dozen traditional Korean hanok houses and like the hanok villages in Seoul and Jeonju the public is free to walk around the neighborhood. One of Gyeongju’s prominent families, the Choi Clan, lived in this part of town and owned much of the property here. The sun was starting to get low as I wandered the streets of Gyochon and after taking some photos I moved on because I wanted to squeeze in one last bit of sightseeing before leaving Gyeongju.
