At night I came back to Dongbaekseom to try capturing some shots of Busan at night. Historically I’ve not done too much in the way of nighttime photography because in years past I didn’t have a camera and lens that were up to the task but in 2019 I finally had a setup that take some decent photos after dark. I first got a few shots from the lighthouse area of Dongbaekseom looking towards Diamond Bridge (aka Gwangandaegyo) and the region of Busan around Gwangalli Beach. Diamond Bridge is colorfully lit up and night and it’s one of Busan’s most famous sights. My next group of photos was taken on the east side of Dongbaekseom looking towards Haeundae Beach. At night the lights from the various towers at Haeundae almost make something like a rainbow reflecting on the water.

Once I finished taking photos I walked back through Haeundae to reach the metro station. Haeundae’s restaurants and bars were packed that night and a lot of people were walking around the neighborhood. It’s crazy to think back about how things were prior to COVID.
