Himeji 2019: Getting a meal at McDonald’s

Whenever I travel overseas I feel this strange urge to try out American fast food restaurants to see how the food compares to what is available at home. While in Himeji I got a meal at the McDonald’s near the eastern end of Himeji Station. This particular McDonald’s appeared to be popular with high school students and although the guy at the cash register didn’t speak much English I was able to point to the menu items I wanted and place my order. For my meal I got a double cheeseburger along with fries and a drink. Overall I’d say the food tasted about the same as what’s available in my part of America, though the burger might have been a little higher quality. With this meal my curiosity had officially be satisfied, though I would get one more fast food meal in Tokyo before I left Japan.
