Amanohashidate 2019: Chionji Temple (智恩寺)

At the southern end of the Amanohashidate Sandbar is Chionji Temple. A statue of the Buddhist god of wisdom is housed here and many students pray at this temple for success in their studies. Chionji is fairly small and for most people is just a quick visit before crossing the sandbar but it’s a nice place to stop at while exploring Amanohashidate.
