I wasn’t having a good time. My car was broken down on the side of the road on a cold winter night and the tow truck was taking forever to show up. As I sat in my car, fidgeting to help keep warm, I noticed a light appearing on the horizon. It was the moon. Pale yellow in color, it steadily rose above the hill to the east of me and I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. In all my years on this planet I had never before seen a moonrise. It wasn’t a Super Moon or one of those other lunar events that get everyone’s attention—just a mostly full moon slowly making its way higher into the night sky. And it was majestic.
