Nikko 2019: An Anglican Church?

There are a number of things I expected to find in Nikko, but an Anglican Church wasn’t one of them. On the day that I took a bus from Nikko out to Lake Chuzenji I noticed this church as the bus passed it by and I decided to take a look the next day after I finished visiting the various World Heritage Sites. It’s a small church and for most people it’s probably not worth checking out but for me it was pretty novel to find a church like this deep in the mountains of Japan. It’s like a little piece of England was scooped up and dropped out here.
