Japan Hokkaido Rebun Island

Along with tourism, Rebun Island’s main industry is fishing and there are small fishing villages scattered all along the island’s coastline. If you travel around Rebun you’ll frequently see small fishing boats tied up and awaiting their next venture out into the sea. It seems like much of Rebun’s fishing is done by small boats like these, together with some bigger boats that are docked in a few artificial harbors. Though I’m not always the biggest fan of seafood, Rebun’s fisherman must be really good at their jobs since the seafood I had on the island was top-notch.
