Not far from Jeonju’s hanok village is the Nambu Market, the oldest traditional market in Jeonju. The Nambu Market was founded over a century ago and is home to over 800 stores that sell clothing, furniture, food, and many other things.
Most of Nambu Market is indoors but there’s a road right next to the market building that is lined with vendors selling produce and seafood. It was late afternoon when I was there and although there were still plenty of things available for purchase I’m guessing the best stuff is sold out in the morning.
