Kyoto 2019: Kyoto Gion Post Office

Sometimes while exploring cities you come across little gems that are overlooked by most of the tourist crowds. Snuggled between some modern buildings in Kyoto’s Gion District is one such gem, the Kyoto Gion Post Office. I’m always on the lookout for unique buildings like this one and discovering them is one of the many small pleasures of traveling. Sending postcards isn’t really a popular thing to do these days but if I did mail someone a postcard from Japan I’d want to send it from this post office.
