Kyoto 2019: Leaving Kyoto

After five nights and an absurd amount of sightseeing it was time to leave Kyoto and continue my trek across Japan. In the mid-afternoon I arrived at Kyoto Station and I took one last look around before I went inside. I could really sense that I was closing in on the end of my trip and even though I still had just over two weeks remaining it felt like I had almost no time left at all. With a bit of sadness in my heart I entered Kyoto Station and headed to my train’s platform. Next stop: Kanazawa.
