Homages

Author’s Note: I haven’t written anything about my writing project in a long time, so I decided I’d dedicate this week to sharing some tidbits of what I’ve been up to with it.

It may or may not be a good idea, but I want to fill my story with homages to various things I’ve been a fan of over the years. So many things have influenced me and given me ideas, and throwing in little nods and tributes into the story feels like a good way to give credit where credit is due. I want to have homages to video games like Final Fantasy X, Spec Ops: The Line, and Vanquish; anime like Ghost in the Shell, Big O, and Bleach; movies like Star Wars, The Dark Knight, and The Longest Day; etc. etc. Finding ways to get all the homages I want into the story without completely screwing things up will probably be impossible, but I’m sure gonna try. At some point in the future I’m going to need a good editor to keep me from going overboard with this.
