San Sebastian Ricardopedia Header Image

It occurred to me yesterday that I hadn’t updated this website’s header image since before my departure to Japan and Korea last year, so today I’m finally giving it a refresh. Going forward, I’m not sure how often I’ll be changing the header image but I’m thinking it will be something like once every 1-2 months.

This new header image comes from San Sebastian, one of my favorite places in Spain, and it was taken during my 2015 trip across Europe. It was early November when I was in San Sebastian but it was unusually warm for that time of year and I decided spend much of the day down by the ocean. This particular photo was taken at Zurriola Beach, which is on the east side of the river and home to the city’s surfer population. Thanks to the weather I got to experience the San Sebastian summer without the normal summer crowds and that day was a definite highlight of my 2015 trip. For a fuller story of my time in San Sebastian, please check out my old travelogue post titled San Sebastian: Endless Summer.
